Employee information can be sent to the SSA for verification.  Magtax Professional edition supports verifying employees from the W2 list.

 

 

The basic process includes the following steps

 

1. Import W2/Employee data into Magtax

2. In the Employee Verification Maintenance, transfer the employees from the W2 list

3. Add and remove any employees you do not want to verify.

4. Generate the Verification Request file.

5. Upload the Verification Request to the the SSA.

6. Wait for the SSA to process the request.

7. Connect the the SSA and download the results file.

8. Import the Results

9. Review
