REQUIRED:
On the options menu, select A2A IRIS to maintain your filer/transmitter details.
On the HOME menu IRIS-A2A section:
"Generate" to reviews and Create Filings for Upload
"Submit - Upload" to actually file/report to the IRS via IRIS.
"Check Status" gets the status of a filing.
On the right side of the home menu is some status information.
IRIS TEST mode indicates the system - and all generation and efiling are TESTS.
IRIS Error Review displays a list of errors that need to be resolved. This list is created by the Detail button on the Check Status screen.
IRIS System Status displays a web page the IRS provides to indicate the status of the filing system. We recommend checking this BEFORE Uploading or Check Status attempts.
On the 1099 menu, in the eFile section:
"Review 1099s (IRIS A2A)" This reviews and generates a filing for upload. The is the SAME as the IRIS A2A Generate on the Home menu.
On the Other menu, the IRIS Submissions options lets you review history and cancel test submissions.
